Arandis, Namibia |
27 Dec 2006
If you already have Google Earth installed on your system, enter the coordinates 22 25 04.94S, 14 58 30.74E and you will find the physical location of Hope's Promise Orphan Ministries in Arandis. Look around the town and you will see the dusty little town that HPOM embraces.
The HPOM Ministry Center is where I will be spending some of my time while in Arandis January 19th - February 1st, 2007. It is where the Talitha Kumi Christian Academy will begin on January 17th.
But Arandis is more than one of the Namibia locations for HPOM, Arandis is where part of me has remained since my first trip to Namibia in July 2006.
I have set up this blog site with the hope that I will chronicle my time in Arandis, describe my feelings, talk about the friends I will see upon my return there and the new people that I will meet. I hope to describe what my day may have consisted of, the things I did, what I felt. I hope to introduce the people of Arandis to you and while I will not have the chance to tell about each and every one, it will at least give you a glimpse of life here. |

What Matters |
As you let God's design be worked out in you, you will see its impact in
others and for generations. |
Sometimes it's not about your ability to do something, but your availability
to do it that is more important. |

What Others Are Saying |
I should be much more afraid of being mistaken and then finding out that Christianity is true than of being
mistaken in believing it to be true. (Pascal)
